Level 26
Anthony Zuiker’s first major post-CSI project is a cross-platform mystery with a very analogue source – Level 26 is a digi novel – a hybrid book/video/web project published by Penguin’s Dutton Imprint & due for a September release.
Enhanced Narrative
Level 26 is a violent murder mystery that prompts the reader every 20 pages or so to log in to the Level 26 website and enter a unique code to unlock a short narrative video that brings the story to life – there’s other interactive content on the site too and a planned iPhone app that merges all of the Level 26 platforms to offer “a total sensory experience”
Another great example of the post Web 2.0 Analogue/Real World Come-Back, and a continuatin of the trend of accomplished directors/writers/producers like Joss Wedon, ”crossing over” from traditional media to digital platforms…
